Training for businesswomen "Negotiation strategies in women's business"
Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Institute of Communications at West Ukrainian National University, recently held a training session at the invitation of the entrepreneur support centre Diia. Business in Ternopil. The training focused on negotiation strategies in women's business and was held at the Advanta Business Club.
The event was organised within the framework of the EU4Business: Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises international cooperation programme, which is being implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the European Union and the German government.
During the event, participants mastered effective negotiation strategies and tactics from setting goals to applying different communication styles, dived into the analysis of alternative options, considering an approach to negotiations with predefined action plans, talked about the anatomy of negotiations, identified psychological aspects of successful negotiations, mastered the art of asking questions and mastered active listening skills, and learned to maintain the emotional stability of a negotiator in difficult business situations.
A special bonus for the participants at the end of the event was a business game to develop business negotiation skills with the help of innovative practical tools - "Negotiation Cards" from the author of the method Philip Brown - the British founder of The Negotiation Club. Professional interpretation and support of the game was provided by Anastasiia Martynevych, Coordinator of International Activities of ERIC.
The training was easy, dynamic, warm and full of sincere emotions. We hope that all the efforts made will lead to a great breakthrough in rethinking priorities, acceptance and understanding of oneself and others for powerful growth and development in shaping the participants' own professional brand.
