Students of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy tell us about their semester studies at the University of Lodz (Poland)
As part of the bilateral cooperation between West Ukrainian National University and the University of Lodz (Republic of Poland), students of the International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies programme Yuliia Chechota, Ivanna Svystun and Anhelina Nechai studied for one semester at the University of Lodz. The girls were happy to share their impressions.
Yuliia Chechota spoke about her experience: "This programme was a real eye-opener for me. First of all, the academic component of the programme exceeded all my expectations. The lectures and seminars were very interesting and informative, and the teachers paid a lot of attention to us. I was able to expand my knowledge in my chosen field and broaden my horizons considerably. I especially liked the interdisciplinary courses, which allowed me to look at problems from different perspectives."
Anhelina Nechai said: "It was an incredible chance to get to know a new culture and traditions. I gained an invaluable experience of communicating with other students who were happy to share with me the peculiarities of their customs. Visiting the sights of Łódź and other Polish cities allowed me to dive deeper into the peculiarities of Polish life. I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of foreigners towards the war in Ukraine and their desire to see positive changes in the future."
Ivanna Svystun noted, "My exchange study at the University of Lodz was extremely fruitful and enriched my learning experience. Not only did I improve my academic skills, but I also significantly broadened my horizons and gained intercultural communication skills. This programme has had a significant impact on my future educational and career plans, inspiring me to become more open to international opportunities."
