Opening of the European Law Library
As part of the Sixth International Week, the Law Faculty of West Ukrainian National University hosted the grand opening of the European Law Library.
The university collections of the L. Kanishchenko Library have been replenished with scientific legal literature on European private and public law in English, German and Polish, donated by European publishers C.H.Beck Polska, Mohr Siebeck, Ottoschmidt, Nomos Edward Elgar Publishing.
The transfer was facilitated by Fryderyk Zoll, a member of the University's Supervisory Board and professor at the Jagiellonian University and the University of Osnabrück.
Members of the Board of the European Law Institute (Austria), in particular the President of the Executive Committee, Professor Pascal Pichonnaz, member of the Executive Committee, Dr Aneta Wiewiórowska-Domagalska, and Secretary-General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox; Director of C.H.Beck Polska, Agnieszka Sypniewska-Kozak; and editor of the same publishing house, Joanna Żemiecka, contributed to the creation of the European Law Library.
The university library has also gained access to the Nomos publishing house database. Students and teachers of the university have the opportunity to use full-text sources of monographs, textbooks, scientific articles in English and German in the field of European Union law.
