The Sixth International Week is over!
The Sixth International Week, held under the slogan ‘Bridging Partnerships, Shaping Futures: Innovation and Cooperation in a Trying World’, has come to an end at West Ukrainian National University.
On the fourth day of I-WEEK, a workshop ‘Relevance of Advanced English Learning in Ukrainian Educational Institutions in Today's Context’ was organised, during which Tetiana Shelepko, a methodologist at Cambridge University Press, spoke to students and emphasised that English is not only a necessary skill for global communication, but also a key tool for personal and professional growth and building a successful career in the international environment. The speaker spoke about new methods and tools used to effectively learn a foreign language.
The unique practice-oriented training ‘Negotiation Models. Features of Crisis Negotiations’ by Swiss practitioners brought together the faculty and students of WUNU. The participants of the event had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of effective negotiation models and gain valuable experience from leading international experts in this field, who have many years of experience in global organisations.
During their speech, Steve Alban Tineo, CEO of Assertive Group, and Cedric Schweizer, CEO of Chrabieh & Schweizer Consultancy, focused on methods and techniques that ensure effective work in crisis situations, aspects of communication strategies and negotiation processes.
The attendees discussed and debated the basic principles of successful communication, including the importance of active listening, effective speaking and trusting relationships.
In conclusion, the speakers noted that a productive exchange of knowledge and experience will contribute to the improvement of professional competence in the field of negotiation and crisis management.
The official closing of the Sixth International Week took place in the Academic Council Hall of WUNU.
Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research (International Relations), addressed the audience and stated: 'Dear colleagues and guests! The Sixth International Week has irrefutably demonstrated the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience, and this is the result of our joint work. I am certain that the time spent at West Ukrainian National University has inspired each of you to new projects for the development of Ukraine!'
The International Week was a resounding success, with not only thematic lectures, workshops and discussions, but also the launch of cooperation with foreign experts.
We are thrilled to report that I-WEEK 2024 was an incredible success! Each of the participants had the chance to hear some truly inspiring ideas, make valuable professional connections with colleagues from around the globe, present their own research projects, exchange ideas for the further development of the scientific and educational sphere, and share their personal experiences. We can't wait to see what the future holds for all of them!
We thank all our colleagues and guests who joined the Sixth International Week!
