Meeting with leading IT companies of Ternopil
On the initiative of Liudmyla Babala, coordinator of work with FCIT alumni, and Kateryna Mykhailidi, representative of the Ternopil IT Cluster, a meeting with leading Ternopil IT companies was held at the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies of West Ukrainian National University.
Roman and Kateryna, representatives of the Ternopil IT Cluster, spoke about the current conditions of the IT industry in the region, the main trends and challenges.
They shared information about what the leading IT companies in Ternopil do, what projects they develop and what technologies they use. They also gave valuable advice to students who want to work in IT companies:
- What skills are most in demand on the job market;
- How to prepare for an interview in an IT company;
- The importance of practical experience and how to get it.
Other topics discussed included the latest programming languages and technologies, the importance of learning English, and the importance of soft skills in the modern IT industry.
This event was an important step for the development of students' future careers in the IT sector.
