Sambo wrestling championship

From 11 to 13 October 2024, the World Sambo Championships for athletes aged 16, 18 and 20 took place in Larnaca (Cyprus).
Four athletes from West Ukrainian National University took part in the competition, namely Anastasia Sykish (FSSH), Ihor Bobko (FCIT), Diana Lutsiak and Volodymyr Svidrak (CEEIT).
Anastasia Sykish and Volodymyr Svidrak took silver and bronze respectively after a fierce competition, while Ihor Bobko finished 7th.
