First international financial forum ‘FINTECH and digital transformation of the financial market: a vision for the development of banking and insurance business’
The First International Financial Forum ‘FINTECH and Digital Transformation of the Financial Market: A Vision for the Development of the Banking and Insurance Business’ has started at West Ukrainian National University.
The event brought together financial experts from Ukraine and abroad, business leaders, financial intermediaries, representatives of the academic community interested in the digital transformation of the financial market in the context of integrating modern financial technologies into the insurance and banking business.
The discussion platform focused on the following topics: trends in the modernisation of finance in the business sector in the digital age; fintech in the system of banking market development paradigms; digitalisation and digital technologies of the insurance market: strategic vectors of reform; challenges and benchmarks for the development of the financial market in the digital age.
The forum was organised by the Department of Financial Technologies and Banking of WUNU.
Financial technology has already become a driving force for change in the global financial industry. From contactless payments and blockchain technologies to artificial intelligence in the financial sector, what once seemed a distant possibility has now become a reality. The changes are happening so fast that many traditional financial market players, including banks and insurance companies, are forced to rethink their business models and strategies.
The forum was opened by the Rector of WUNU Oksana Desyatnyuk. Andrii Vitrenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, greeted the forum participants. First Deputy Head of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration Stepan Kuibida also addressed the audience. Finally, Andriy Krysovatyy, President of the Ukrainian-American Association of College Educators, Chairman of the Academic Council of WUNU, Head of the S.I. Yuriy Department of Finance, made a speech.
The forum was moderated by Anatoliy Guley, Chairman of the Board of the Interbank Currency Exchange, Professor of the Department of Economic Expertise and Land Management of the WUNU.
Many scholars from Ukraine and beyond presented their reports and contributed to lively discussions throughout the event. Thus, the forum was an important event for establishing international cooperation and sharing experience in the field of digital transformation. It helped to strengthen ties between academia, business and government stakeholders, enabling them to jointly address the challenges of the modern financial market and formulate new development strategies.
The event is designed to outline recommendations for financial sector reform that will help accelerate the introduction of digital innovations and facilitate adaptation to the new challenges of the digital economy.
The first international financial forum ‘FINTECH and Digital Transformation of the Financial Market: A Vision for the Development of the Banking and Insurance Business’ provided everyone with a chance to hear different perspectives from leading practitioners, representatives of different academic schools, and business leaders from all over Ukraine and the world, while discussing the current challenges of digital transformation of the financial market in the current environment.
