New WUNU Doctor Honoris Causa presented at the Academic Council meeting
On November 27, a grand meeting of the Academic Council was held at West Ukrainian National University.
We have to be an example for our students, showing that even in the darkest times, faith and kindness can change the world.
The war, which has touched our homes, our families, our hearts, is testing our strength, our spirit and our ability to remain human even in the most difficult conditions.
Support for one another is what makes us unbreakable. It can be simple words of understanding, a helping hand, a warm smile, or just the willingness to listen to your neighbor. We are all in the same boat, and only together can we reach the shore.
We are grateful to those who faithfully defend our country, our peace and freedom. The Ukrainian military are modern-day heroes who demonstrate courage, self-sacrifice and steadfastness every day. Their heroism is an example to follow, and their faith in Ukraine is our common belief in victory. Eternal memory to those who laid down their lives for our freedom.
In a solemn atmosphere, Doctor of Technical Sciences of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Libor Dostalek, was conferred the honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa for his significant personal contribution to the development of education and science, strengthening of Ukraine's intellectual potential, and promotion of West Ukrainian National University in the international arena. In honor of the nominee, the students performed the Gaudeamus, and the Chairman of the Academic Council and the Rector of the University presented the diplomas and gown.
Mr. Dostalek expressed his gratitude for the high honor and emphasized that for him it is a symbol of friendship and mutual understanding between the Ukrainian and Czech academic communities. He emphasized that he has always admired the potential of young scientists of WUNU and is ready to further contribute to strengthening scientific ties between the two countries.
