Happy International Volunteer Day!
Ukrainian volunteers deserve special respect and gratitude, as their contribution is invaluable in these difficult times. They help the Ukrainian Armed Forces, support internally displaced persons, organise humanitarian aid and perform many other important tasks.
Ukrainian volunteers have shown that the strength of society lies in its cohesion and willingness to help. Their activities not only support those in need, but also inspire others to act, promote strong civic engagement and trust in each other.
On the occasion of the holiday, Kazymyr Voznyi, director of the L. Kanishchenko Library of West Ukrainian National University, received a letter of appreciation for his active citizenship and tireless volunteering from the CF ‘Victory HQ’, which was personally presented by a servicewoman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She noted that volunteers are indeed the heart of our struggle, and every contribution, small or large, brings us closer to victory. We are a nation that not only fights, but also supports each other in the most difficult times. Together we are invincible!
Lesia Hlynska, who heads the Edera culinary team, also congratulated the staff of the L. Kanischenko Library of West Ukrainian National University.
The library staff would like to thank all the employees and students of West Ukrainian National University, the community of the culinary team ‘Edera’, which united Ternopil residents and internally displaced persons from Kramatorsk, Skadovsk, Popasna, Nikopol, Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia region and other cities of Ukraine, as well as all those who care for their selfless work!
