International conference Innovation in Education in Ukraine and Central Europe: Status, Problems and Prospects
On 4-5 December, an international scientific and practical conference ''Innovation in Education in Ukraine and Central Europe: Status, Problems and Prospects'' was held, organised by the Department of Education and Pedagogy of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of WUNU.
The scientific event was co-organised by the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Department of Education and Science of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, the Academy of Applied Sciences - Higher School of Management and Administration in Opole (Poland), the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia), the Graduate School of Applied Psychology in Terezín (Czech Republic), the University of Innsbruck (Austria), the International Scientific Society in Dortmund (Germany), and Ege University (Turkey).
The conference was moderated by Volodymyr Chaika, Acting Head of the Department of Education and Pedagogy of WUNU, and Yurii Shcherbiak, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of WUNU.
The conference brought together nearly 300 participants from around the world: scientists, practitioners, heads of educational institutions and students, school principals, preschool teachers, and other educators.
The main goal of the scientific discussion was to develop the theory and practice of education, as well as to establish Ukraine in the international information, scientific and innovative educational space.
The participants worked in the following areas: management of educational institutions in the context of change: new models and technologies, strategies and techniques for the development of preschool and primary education; quality assurance of inclusive education; media education and social communications in the context of social transformations; innovative approaches to continuing education.
The conference programme included a plenary session ‘Quality of Preschool Education: Challenges, Strategies, Prospects for Further Development’, workshops and discussion platforms. The discussions focused on the management of educational institutions in the face of change, innovative approaches to lifelong learning, quality assurance of inclusive education, and the development of preschool and primary education.
The participants had the opportunity to present their research, discuss prospects for international cooperation and share experiences in implementing the latest pedagogical technologies.
This event was an important step in the development of international cooperation in education and contributed to the promotion of innovations in the educational process.
