Lecture by the Rector of Maria Skłodowska-Curie Medical University
West Ukrainian National University recently hosted a lecture by Krzysztof Filipiak, Rector of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Medical University in Warsaw. The lecture addressed a question of interest to many: "Coffee - friend or foe? Modern medicine and coffee - what should we know about?"
The speaker, Krzysztof Filipiak, is not only a professor and rector of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Medical University in Warsaw, but also a renowned cardiologist. His expert opinion is always met with interest, and this time he spoke about coffee, a drink that has been the subject of research and discussion for centuries.
The professor debunked the most common myths surrounding coffee and presented the audience with irrefutable scientific evidence about its effects on the body. Is coffee really addictive? Does it help to keep you alert and even prolong your life? Or can it harm the heart? The lecture answered these questions and many more.
The speaker made a point of discussing the latest research on coffee's impact on the cardiovascular system, metabolism, and nervous system. He was clear that moderation is key. Even the healthiest drink can have adverse effects if consumed in excess.
The lecture was held in an open, interactive format. Participants actively engaged in the discussion, sharing their insights on the impact of coffee on their lifestyle.
This event proved once again that WUNU is the place to be for thought-provoking conversations, engaging meetings, and groundbreaking insights. We extend our gratitude to Professor Krzysztof Filipiak for his riveting lecture and to all who joined us. And for all coffee aficionados, drink your favorite beverage with a clear conscience and unabashed joy!
