Call for participants for the programme ‘BridgeUSA: Ukrainian Academic Fellows Program’
BridgeUSA: Ukrainian Academic Fellows Program aims to support Ukrainian universities in training specialists critical to the country's recovery and reconstruction by establishing close cooperation with US higher education institutions.
Teachers in the following academic fields are eligible to apply for the BridgeUSA UAFP programme:
Agricultural technology;
Conflict resolution and peace studies;
Engineering;
Information technology (including the use of technology to combat disinformation);
mental health;
Pedagogy (including teaching and research in medicine/dentistry, focusing on wartime issues and needs)
Urban planning (including architecture).
BridgeUSA UAFP, in addition to the above academic fields, will also accept applications from scholars specialising in
Environmental policy and management (including post-war environmental restoration; alternative energy and sustainable development; emergency management technologies),
healthcare and medicine in times of war (including prosthetics, rehabilitation, PTSD treatment and mental health, biomechanics).
Eligible to apply for the programme are candidates who:
are citizens of Ukraine and reside in Ukraine at the time of application;
are full-time lecturers or researchers with at least two years of experience at a university;
are fluent in spoken and written English;
demonstrate a desire to return to Ukraine after the end of the visit;
are eligible to receive a J-1 non-immigrant visa for participants of exchange programmes with the United States.
