Training session from the Education and Research Centre for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience
Creative resource meetings are becoming a good tradition at the Education and Research Centre for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience.
Before the Christmas holidays, the Centre's specialists brought together family members of fallen soldiers in a friendly environment to discuss how to overcome stress, replenish energy and develop psychological flexibility.
Before the event, the participants prayed for the fallen Heroes and lit candles of remembrance in the university chapel.
Eleonora Yashchenko, a specialist at the centre, associate professor at WUNU's Department of Psychology and Social Work, and trainer for the Israeli Coalition for Trauma, introduced participants to self-help practices in stressful situations and spoke about the importance of understanding and effectively using one's own resource channels.
‘Eleonora's lecture on how and where to find resources to help ourselves and support those around us was very interesting,’ shares Olha Stasiv, head of the NGO Families of Fallen Soldiers of Ternopil.
Theory was put into practice as the participants got creative with the 'creativity, imagination' and 'emotions' resource channels, turning Christmas wreaths into festive works of art. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical, filled with warmth and camaraderie, inspiring everyone to reach new heights. The end result? Every participant produced a truly remarkable creation. And the icing on the cake? The creative activity had an incredible effect on everyone's mood, making everyone feel better!
Iryna Sheheda, a talented student of the university, wowed the audience with a spectacular musical performance, sending everyone into a festive spirit.
This warm meeting reminded us once again of the importance of unity, support for each other and faith in ourselves.
The Education and Research Centre for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience wishes everyone to believe in our victory as a source of strength for everyone, and for Christmas to bring inspiration, peace and hope for a brighter future for Ukraine.
