WUNU staff donates an EW device for the front line to border guards
A powerful portable electronic countermeasure device against drones will soon be sent to the frontline to counter Russian occupation forces. In this war, which has already been dubbed the ‘war of drones’, the use of UAVs is only growing. Therefore, defence against enemy drones plays a key role.
Today, border guards of the Western Regional Directorate received another electronic warfare device from educators. It was provided to the border guards by West Ukrainian National University (Ternopil), and handed over to the defenders by the university's rector, Oksana Desyatnyuk, and vice-rector for research, Mykola Dyvak. Their fervent wish is that this equipment helps to save as many lives of Ukraine's defenders as possible.
‘Thank you for supporting the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine. Electronic warfare devices are very much needed at the frontline, as the enemy is also improving its means and tactics of war. Soon we will transfer this equipment to the soldiers of one of our units who are fighting the enemy in the east of the country. We are grateful to you and your educational institution for taking care of our brothers-in-arms,’ said Major General Valeriy Vavrynyuk, Head of the Western Regional Directorate.
