Students of the group ZhPR-21 of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of WUNU, produced news stories during their classes in Media Production.

The future journalists reported on current events taking place at West Ukrainian National University: interesting projects, open lectures and much more.

The entire academic community of WUNU was able to watch the stories, as they were broadcast on the central multimedia board of the higher education institution, located in the lobby of WUNU Building 1.

Such training methods help young people practice the technical and creative aspects of news production: script writing, preparing text for broadcast, diction, editing, and bring them closer to real-life working conditions.

The practice of recording stories teaches students to convey information to the audience clearly and understandably, to express their thoughts in an accessible and professional manner, and introduces future journalists to modern technologies: working with video cameras, microphones, editing software, etc., which significantly increases their competitiveness in the labour market, helps them overcome the fear of speaking in front of the camera, and improves their diction, facial expressions and gestures.

The recorded stories can become part of a professional portfolio that will demonstrate the student's skills to potential employers.

The second semester is starting. We invite everyone to take the Journalism for Beginners course and try their hand at reporting, news coverage and advertising campaigns: on-screen and behind the scenes.
