 Applications are now open for the New European Bauhaus Prize (NEB). On 14 January 2025, the European Commission launched a call for applications for the NEB. This is the fifth call for proposals under the NEB initiative, which invites creatives and innovators from across Europe and beyond to submit innovative projects.

The NEB 2025 Prize will be awarded for both already implemented projects and concepts developed by young talents in four categories:

- reconnecting with nature

- Restoring a sense of belonging;

- prioritising places and people who need it most;

- creating a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking.

Each of the four categories has two parallel competition areas:

- Area A: ‘Champions of the New European Bauhaus’ - dedicated to ongoing and completed projects with clear and positive results;

- Area B: ‘Rising Stars of the New European Bauhaus' - dedicated to concepts submitted by young talents under the age of 30.

Concepts can be at different stages of development: from ideas with a clear plan to the prototype level.

The NEB 2025 awards will be presented to 22 winners and runners-up, who will receive a cash prize of up to €30,000 (depending on the category), as well as a communication package to help further develop and promote their projects and concepts.

The application deadline is 14 February 2025. Applications are to be submitted through the official New European Bauhaus Prizes platform (https://prizes.new-european-bauhaus.europa.eu/).

Details on the conditions of participation and the application procedure can be found in the guidelines for applicants (attached).
