Zoriana Krupnyk, a certified trainer and associate professor of psychology and social work at the West Ukrainian National University, conducted an important training on first psychological aid for the participants of the TURBO project “The Universities' Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises.”

The event was aimed at mastering effective methods of self-support and support of others in crisis situations, restoring emotional balance. During the training, the participants learned about the 4 Elements and MAASE protocols, learned to identify their psychological state, recognize stress symptoms, and respond correctly and timely in different circumstances. Under the guidance of a trainer, they effectively practiced their skills and will now be able to take care of themselves and support their families using the knowledge and practical tools they have gained.

It is important for people who have been forced to leave their homes not to lose their inner strength, so the specialists tried to provide them not only with new knowledge but also with a supportive environment so that everyone would feel that they were not alone on their journey.

This project has received funding from the European Union (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) under grant agreement No 101129315.
