WUNU delegation visits a research university in Gliwice
In preparation for the 13th International IEEE Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications (IDAACS 2025) and to strengthen partnerships, the delegation of the West Ukrainian National University, led by Rector Oksana Desyatnyuk, visited the co-organiser of IDAACS 2025 - the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Gliwice, Poland, which has the status of a 'research university', from 7 to 9 April 2025.
On the first day of the visit, members of the IDAACS 2025 Organising Committee, Prof. Anatolii Sachenko, Associate Professors Lesia Dubchak, Pavlo Bykovyi, Svitlana Sachenko and Lecturer Ihor Romanets visited the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and took part in a working meeting with the Polish team led by Prof. Wojtek Kempa. Subsequently, the members of the Organising Committee got acquainted with the first option of the IDAACS 2025 venue - the halls and rooms of the Congress Centre. In particular, the rooms for registration of participants, the opening and closing ceremonyIn particular, the rooms for registration of participants, the opening and closing ceremony of the conference and plenary sessions, auditoriums for oral and online sessions, places for poster sessions, as well as rooms for the organising committee and meetings of the International Supervisory Board of IDAACS 2025 were shown.
An official meeting of the WUNU delegation with the SUT administration headed by the Rector, Prof. Marek Pawelczyk, took place in the SUT Senate Hall. During the meeting, the Rector of WUNU Prof. Oksana Desyatnyuk, Vice-Rector for Research Prof. Mykola Dyvak and Prof. Anatolii Sachenko discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation and implementation of joint educational and scientific initiatives, in particular the IDAACS 2025 conference. In particular, the rector of SUT suggested holding IDAACS 2025 at the premises of the Faculty of Automation and Informatics.
At the end of the meeting, the rectors signed a cooperation agreement between WUNU and SUT. After that, the members of the Organising Committee together with Prof. Kempa visited the Faculty of Automation and Informatics and examined the available classroom resources for IDAACS 2025.
Afterwards, the members of the organising committee together with Prof. Dyvak visited the Faculty of Organisation and Management in Zabrze and met with the Deputy Dean, Prof. Izabela Jonek-Kowalska and other members of the Polish team. The meeting focused on the preparation of the Economics in Era of Digital Transformation stream, financial aspects of accepting registration fees for participants and settlements with financial sponsors, payment for poster presentations and support services, etc.
In conclusion, the parties summarised and outlined the stages of preparation for the IDAACS 2025 conference, as well as discussed the prospects for further scientific cooperation.
