Department of Energy Systems and Business Analytics

  

 The staff of the Department of Energy Systems and Business Analytics at WUNU trains specialists in the following educational programs:

Energy Audit (Bachelor’s degree);
Business Analytics and Management of Innovative Systems (Master’s degree);
Accounting and Taxation (Doctor of Philosophy, PhD).
Educational and Professional Program “Energy Audit”:

 In addition to general training courses in the specialty G3 “Electrical Engineering,” our students have the opportunity to study unique subjects such as: Fundamentals of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving; Energy Management; Renewable Energy; Technical Support of Energy Audit; Smart Grid in Energy Supply; Energy Efficiency Assessment and Audit; Automation, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence.
 Employment Prospects: graduates can work as energy auditors, specialists in energy service companies, leading experts in energy supply for industrial facilities, developers and executors of energy-saving and energy efficiency projects, energy managers in public and municipal administration, energy managers in public utilities, consultants in energy efficiency and energy saving.


 Educational and Professional Program “Business Analytics and Management of Innovative Systems”:
In addition to general training courses in the specialty D1 “Accounting and Taxation,” our students have the opportunity to study unique subjects such as: Business Process Analytics; Analytical Tools for Innovation Management; Business Process Diagnostics; Strategic Analysis; Investment Analysis; Sectoral Analysis and Business Process Modeling; Consulting Activities.

 Employment Prospects: business analysis specialists are called “agents of change.” They can hold positions such as financial analyst in large companies and corporations, banks, and investment funds; business process analyst in IT project development companies; analyst of stock, financial, currency, and commodity markets; innovation project manager; financial director; auditor; analytical expert; tax and duties consultant; economic analyst-consultant in the State Financial Inspection, consulting, and outsourcing companies.

 Educational and Scientific Program for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is aimed at developing research activities and training highly qualified academic staff in the specialty “Accounting and Taxation.” The program is intended for students who wish to deepen their knowledge and conduct their own research in the fields of accounting, taxation, auditing, and analysis.

 Employment Prospects: graduates obtain the PhD qualification and competencies that allow them to engage in teaching and research at universities and scientific institutions, conduct consulting, expert, and analytical activities at a high level, and hold key management positions in finance and accounting.

 The department actively cooperates with organizations such as:
State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine; Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, Housing and Communal Services, and Energy Saving of Ternopil Regional State Administration; Department of Housing, Communal Services, Beautification, and Ecology of Ternopil City Council; PJSC “Ternopiloblenergo”; PJSC “Ternopil City District Electric Networks”; Utility Company “Ternopilmiskteplokomunenergo”; Win Experts Group; PE “TEPLO-STAR”; Company “Smarty”; LLC “Euro ESCO”; LLC “Energo-Tech-Invest”; LLC “Smart ESCO”; LLC “Energoservice N”; LLC “ESCO-Ukraine”; “Smart-MAC”; LLC “Business Evolution”; LLC “Digital Innovations”; Federation of Auditors, Accountants, and Financiers of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine.”

 The department implements international cooperation with foreign partners: faculty and students actively participate in academic mobility programs, internships, research, and educational events in countries such as the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Moldova, Georgia, Israel, Canada, and the USA, among others.

In June 2025, the Department of Energy Systems and Business Analytics organized the First International Energy Forum “Clean Energy: Global Security and Innovation.” The program committee included scholars from Ukraine, Germany, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, China, the USA, and Egypt.

 The department’s academic staff participate in joint scientific and educational projects in renewable energy with researchers from HTW Berlin – University of Applied Sciences; WSB University; Netherlands Business Academy; Nottingham Trent University; UiT The Arctic University of Norway; University of Tennessee; China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute, and others.

Department researchers are also engaged in international collective projects, including:
