Department of Transport and Logistics

 

 The staff of the department trains specialists in the following specialties and educational programs
 - J8 Road transport
Educational programs:
 Transport Management and Logistics (Bachelor's degree);
 Transport Technologies (in Road Transport) (Master's degree);
 Road transport (bachelor's and master's degrees).


 Educational program "Road transport"
 The graduate's professional training is based on a combination of knowledge and practical skills, taking into account current trends in the development of road transport, digital technologies in the industry, including innovations in vehicle designs, technologies for their diagnosis, maintenance and repair, as well as the organization of vehicle operation, the activities of transport enterprises and road transport infrastructure.
 A specialist in road transport has knowledge of the theory of road transport and road transport infrastructure, organization and management in transport, technological equipment of road transport enterprises, technical operation of vehicles, technical equipment and innovative technologies in the field of road transport, transport legislation and economics, and is able to apply them in their successful professional activities.

 Graduates in road transport can work in the field of operation and repair of motor vehicles, at all levels of management at transport enterprises, service centers, leasing companies, as well as in government agencies in the field of road transport. Graduates of the study program meet the requirements of professional qualifications and have all the necessary knowledge for their own business activities in the field of road transport.


 In the educational program, in addition to general training disciplines, students study professional disciplines: Technical diagnostics of cars; technological equipment for maintenance and repair of cars; car engines; electric cars; diagnostics of mechatronic systems of cars; electrical equipment of cars; digital technologies for managing the performance of vehicles; warehousing; innovative methods and technologies for the operation and maintenance of cars; certification and insurance of motor vehicles, personnel management of motor vehicle depots; technical operation of vehicles; road transportation; logistics.


 After graduation, graduates can hold the following positions: Head of a service station; specialist in the organization of motor transport enterprises; engineer for the operation and repair of vehicles; specialist in the diagnosis and repair of vehicles; specialist in the technical operation and maintenance of vehicles; specialist in technical control in transport; specialist in certification and insurance in transport; transport safety inspector; expert on road accidents.


 Educational program Transport Management and Logistics
 Graduates of the educational program have comprehensive knowledge in the field of transport and logistics, solve complex problems of designing and organizing transport chains and logistics systems with a focus on organizing and managing domestic and international logistics services, and possess the necessary range of digital technologies.

 Our students are able to apply their knowledge in the practice of supply chain management, project management and team management. Specialists in transport technologies are able to make optimal integrated decisions in the field of logistics, transport services, as well as evaluate and make decisions on integrated complex tasks for the development of transport services based on the distribution of services between modes of transport and transport chains using multimodal transportation based on the use of acquired knowledge and skills. Graduates are prepared to manage logistics, distribution, freight forwarding companies and logistics departments of production and sales companies, retail chains, as well as in public administration and local government, customs, etc.

 Our graduates are proficient in modern software products in the field of transport systems and technologies, professionally work with transport documentation and requirements that meet the standards of the international federation of freight forwarding associations FIATA, and therefore find highly paid jobs in multinational logistics companies abroad

 Logistics; International transportation; Freight forwarding; Transport geography; Freight transportation; Passenger transportation; Traffic organization; Intelligent transport systems; Transport economics; Transport telematics; Road traffic accident examination; Ergonomic support of transport processes; Design of transport and warehouse complexes; Urban transport planning; Transport personnel management; Modern transport technologies;
 Specialized rooms provide laboratory, practical and research work with the use of modern software, technological equipment and innovative digital technologies: Ant-Logistics - a cloud-based transport management system; jSolutions - a vehicle management system; PTV (Student) software package for transport planning and modeling, which are organized in accordance with the current state of the art in the field of transport and logistics.


 After graduation, graduates can hold the following positions: Director of a transport enterprise; Head of a transport department; transport manager; logistician; transportation manager; transport engineer; traffic safety specialist; urban planning engineer; traffic service dispatcher; customs broker; inspector; design engineer; engineer for the introduction of new equipment and delivery technologies.


 The department actively cooperates with institutions and enterprises: Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine; LLC “ Iden-trans”; LLC “MV Stellar”; representative office of Dornier Consulting International GmbH; WINGSTAR TRANSPORTATION LLC; LLC “Mykulynetskyi brovar”, where students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience and participate in internships, training practices, and employment.
