Education and Research Centre for the Study of Foreign Languages
The Educational and Scientific Centre for the Study of Foreign Languages (hereinafter referred to as the National Institute of Foreign Languages), founded in 2004, is a structural division of the Educational and Scientific Institute of the Latest Educational Technologies (hereinafter referred to as the National University of Western Ukraine) and is intended to provide educational services to citizens of Ukraine and foreigners, implementing intensive training languages as a means of communication with a foreign culture.
Since September 2018, the Educational and Scientific Centre for the Study of Foreign Languages is an official preparatory centre for studying the English language Cambridge Assessment English (Great Britain).
Since February 2019, Scientific Centre is an educational partner of Cambridge University Press (Great Britain)
The basis of the process of learning a foreign language within the framework of the Center is communication in a foreign language (in oral and written forms), which is simultaneously the goal of learning, the main means and a condition for its achievement.
Areas of training:
WUNU National Educational and Scientific Research Center provides intensive training in foreign languages (English, German, French, and Polish) for schoolchildren, students, professors and teachers of higher education institutions, military personnel, civil servants, etc.

The official right to conduct such educational activities is granted annually by the Network Center for Knowledge Assessment at the University of Cambridge (Great Britain).
This long-term educational campaign is implemented by the Western Ukrainian National University with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and in cooperation with the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Ternopil Region and the relevant local Departments of Social Welfare of the Ternopil Region.
According to your actual level, you are offered:
1. intensive communicative courses in English, German, French and Polish;
2. intensive courses for preparation for taking exams for the Cambridge English international certificate, onSET, TestSET;
3. courses for preparation for passing entrance exams in a foreign language to the master's degree;
4. intensive courses on learning the English language and computer information technologies (in English) for combatants;
5. vacation communicative training with native speakers + rest in volunteer camps;
6. individually developed business foreign language courses (English, German, French and Polish);
7. intensive communicative courses on learning the Ukrainian language as a foreign language for foreign citizens.
The organization of training at the Foreign Language Center is based on preliminary testing of future students and the formation of equal-level groups according to the scale of the Council of Europe.
Trainees are trained according to versatile communicative programs of in-depth study of foreign languages and with the involvement of leading specialists of international educational institutions.
The staff of the National Institute of Foreign Studies of WUNU has extensive experience in intensive teaching of foreign languages according to the author's methods with effective use of modern multimedia tools. These methods are based on the concept and principles of intensive training using an individual approach and test control.
After completing the training, the students of the Centre will receive appropriate certificates on the level of foreign language proficiency following the European recommendations on language education:
- elementary level (A1, A2);
- intermediate level (B1, B2);
- advanced/professional (C1/ C2).
