Department of Law and Humanities (VERIE)
The staff of the Department of Law and Humanities of WUNU trains specialists in the following educational programs:
- Law;
- Law enforcement activities
- Psychology.
During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: Theory of State and Law, History of State and Law of Ukraine, Civil Law (General Part), Civil Law (Special Part), Civil Procedure, Inheritance Law, Commercial Law and Procedure, Labour Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Logic, Constitutional Law of Ukraine, Philosophy of Law, Political Science, Family Law, Medical Law, Administrative Law and Procedure, Anti-Corruption Policy of the State, Intellectual Property Law, Private International Law, Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Security Law, European Union Law, Electoral Law, Corporate Law, Human Rights and their Protection, Criminology, Information and Communication Technologies, Philosophy.
After graduation, graduates of the speciality "Law" can hold positions of researchers in the field of law, notaries, lawyers and prosecutors, judges, and other specialists in the field of law.
Graduates of the speciality "Law Enforcement" after completing their studies at the department can work in the following bodies/institutions: National Police; Paramilitary Security; Police Protection Department; Judicial Protection Service; Private Security Structures; Security Service of Ukraine; Private Detective Agencies; National Anti-Corruption Bureau; Bureau of Economic Security, etc.
The Department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organisations: Vinnytsia Court of Appeal, Regional Centre for Free Secondary Legal Aid in Vinnytsia Region, Research Forensic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Main Department of Justice in Vinnytsia Region, Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Valentyn Otamanovskyi, Vinnytsia City Court of Vinnytsia Region, Vinnytsia Administrative District Court, Vinnytsia District State Administration, etc.
The main forms of cooperation are joint scientific seminars, roundtables on topical legal issues, and the organisation of internships, where students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, train practices, and find employment.
