WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

The staff of the Department of Information and Computing Systems and Control of WUNU provides Ukrainian-language training for Bachelor's degree in the specialty 122 "Computer Science" in educational programs "Computer Science" and "Artificial Intelligence", as well as for Master's degree in the specialty 122 "Computer Science" in educational programs “Computer Science” and “Project Management”.

 Within the framework of the Ukrainian-American Computer Science Program, the Department provides English-language training for Bachelor's degree in 122 "Computer Science", as well as for Master's degree in 122 "Computer Science" in the educational programs "Computer Science" and "Project Management".

  During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: Analysis and processing of big data; Architecture and technologies of the Internet of Things; Databases and data warehouses; High-performance calculations; Data mining; Machine learning; Methods and means of information security; Methods and means of decision support; Methods and systems of artificial intelligence; System modeling; Organization of computer networks; Design of information and software systems; Development of client-server applications; System programming and computer architecture; System analysis; Modern programming paradigms; Software development technology; Project management: concepts and phases; Digital transformation; Numerical methods and programming and others.

  After graduating from the Department of Information and Computing Systems and Control, graduates can hold the following positions: graduates hold managerial positions in the Departments of computer systems maintenance, IT project manager, IT project and software analyst, computer network administrator; system administrator, WEB-designer and programmer, database administrator, information technology specialist, programmer, project manager at companies, senior project developer, head of IT services at enterprises, head of IT department, administrator of enterprise IT tools, consultant director of IT, project analyst, etc.

The Department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: Magnetic One Group, Cypress, FOP Stepanenko, Magnis, where students of the faculty have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, to apply for jobs.
