Faculty of Law
The staff of the Faculty of Law of WUNU trains specialists in the following educational programs:
- Law;
- International Law;
- Law Enforcement;
- Economic Security and Financial Investigations;
- Management of Financial and Economic Security.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law, graduates can hold positions in: the field of legal aid, in the field of education, in the bodies of the judiciary, national police, customs service, fiscal service, Security Service of Ukraine, National Anti-Corruption Bureau, penitentiary authorities, other state authorities and local governments, foreign law firms, international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, international judicial institutions, embassies, ministries and departments of Ukraine, consulting and auditing foreign firms, paramilitary security, private security firms, private detective agencies, the State Audit Service of Ukraine, the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.
The Faculty of Law actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: Ternopil Court of Appeal, Ternopil City District Court, South-Western Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice, Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid in Ternopil Oblast, State Migration Service in Ternopil Oblast, the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Ternopil, Department of International Cooperation and Fundraising of Ternopil Regional State Administration, Main Directorate of National Police in Ternopil Oblast, Department of Security Police in Ternopil Oblast, Ternopil Forensic Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Patrol Police Department in Ternopil Oblast, Ternopil Oblast Strategic Investigations Department, "Holmes" private detective agency, where students have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, to gain employment.
The Faculty of Law implements international cooperation with foreign partners: Osnabrück University (Germany); Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland); Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia); University of Occupational Safety Management in Katowice (Poland); DKLEx Academy (Estonia); University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland); John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Poland); Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia), Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz (Poland).
The academic staff of the Faculty of Law conducts research in all fields of jurisprudence, the results of which are published in the collection of scientific articles "Actual Problems of Law" (professional publication of category B, which is indexed in international scientometric databases).
Every year the Faculty organizes international scientific events (forums, conferences, scientific seminars, round tables, etc.), including International scientific-practical conference "Ukraine in terms of reforming the legal system: modern realities and international experience" and International Student Scientific Conference "Legal system of Ukraine in the context of European integration: the view of student youth".
Student life at WUNU Faculty of Law is a chance to become successful, achive recognition and discover your talents. Countless student initiatives are available at the Faculty of Law, including: West Ukrainian intellectual tournament "NATUS VINCERE", Summer School "LEADER OF LAW", Forum of New Opportunities, Law Week, international student conferences, School of Polish and European Law, practice-oriented conventions, workshops, master classes, dubbing of freshmen students, theatrical performances with the participation of teachers and students, "Night at the Faculty", Faculty mountain-climbing (ascent to Hoverla), as well as participation in WUNU university projects.
