Klaipėda University and The Baltic University Programme invite you to take part in an international academic conference

 Klaipėda University, in collaboration with The Baltic University Programme, invites academics, researchers and practitioners to participate in the 22nd International Scientific Conference “Social Innovations for Sustainable Regional Development”, which will take place on 7–8 May 2026 at the university in Klaipėda.



Development of academic cooperation with the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom)

 An online meeting was recently held to discuss the expansion of international academic cooperation with the University of Portsmouth (UK). The meeting was attended by Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, Oksana Homotiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities; Andrii Hirniak, Head of the Department of Psychology and Social Work at WUNU; Yuliia Palaniuk, Head of WUNU's International Relations Office; and Ostap Kushnir, the official representative of the British university.



Training for teachers: ‘The ABC of SD & how to develop sustainable management skills?’

 We invite lecturers to take part in the training course ‘The ABC of SD & how to develop sustainable management skills?’, which will be held from 13 to 17 April 2026 in a blended format.



Professional Development Day for students of the ‘International Relations’ programme at the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine

 Students on the ‘International Relations’ programme at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU, took part in a careers day held at the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine (Kyiv). The event served as an important component of the students’ practical training and provided a platform for them to gain first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of a diplomatic mission.



WUNU has joined the discussion on the Baltic University Programme's plans for 2026

 An online meeting was held between Ukrainian universities participating in the Baltic University Programme (BUP), bringing together representatives from Ukraine’s leading higher education institutions to coordinate future cooperation. WUNU broadens its international horizons: a strategic partnership with ISLA Santarém (Portugal)

 West Ukrainian National University has signed a partnership agreement with ISLA Santarém – Polytechnic University (Portugal).



WUNU representatives have wrapped up international training as part of the ‘Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centres – Vol. 3’ project

 Representatives of West Ukrainian National University have completed an international training course held from 16 to 21 March 2026 in Bydgoszcz (Republic of Poland) as part of the project ‘Polsko-Ukrainskie Regionalne Adaptacyjne Centra – Vol. 3’, co-funded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation under the RITA programme – ‘Changes in the Region’, implemented by the ‘Education for Democracy’ Foundation.



The BUP PhD Award 2026: a prestigious award for young researchers from WUNU

 We invite the academic community of West Ukrainian National University to take part in the prestigious BUP PhD Award 2026 competition. The Baltic University Programme is calling for the best doctoral theses that make a significant contribution to the advancement of science and a sustainable future.



New horizons in international cooperation with the support of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine

 On the initiative of Oksana Koval, Director of the Education and Research Centre for Communications at WUNU, Gediminas Bučiūnas, Senior Adviser on Prosecution at the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine, paid a working visit to West Ukrainian National University . Mr. Bučiūnas is a Lithuanian lawyer, prosecutor and international expert, and a Associate Professor at Vytautas Magnus University and lecturer at Mykolas Romeris University.



WUNU Lecturers are taking part in international training under the project ‘Polsko-Ukrainskie Regionalne Adaptacyjne Centra – Vol. 3’

 On 16 March 2026, in Bydgoszcz (Republic of Poland), Natalia Bezpalova, Acting Head of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sport at WUNU, Professor Roman Tsykvas and Associate Professor Roman Hakh started training as part of the international project ‘Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptive Centres - Vol. 3’.
