WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

From 2 to 4 September 2026, the 16th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT’2026) is taking place in Zlín (Czech Republic). The event is being held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend both in person and remotely.

Partners from the Republic of Poland visited West Ukrainian National University: Dr Tomasz Madras, a lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Białystok and a member of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Sejmik, and Krzysztof Stawnicki, Chair of the ‘Centre for Environmental Support’ Foundation and a member of the Białystok City Council.

 The International Office of West Ukrainian National University invites students and academic staff to take part in the international online course ‘Introduction to ESD – Education for Sustainable Development’, organised by Åbo Akademi University (Finland) as part of The Baltic University Programme (BUP).

 The Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, together with its international partner universities, invites lecturers from WUNU to take part in teaching two joint international courses: ‘International Business’ and ‘International Nursing’.

 A working meeting was held at West Ukrainian National University between Nicolai Kiskalt — a partner at KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (Germany), Head of the Central and Eastern Europe Desk (CEE) and responsible for KPMG Ukraine Gateway’s Private Sector Practice across Europe, the Middle East and Africa – and Marina Antonova, a project assistant, with the Rector of West Ukrainian National University, Oksana Desyatnyuk.

 A team of academics from West Ukrainian National University has won the Jean Monnet Chairs competition under the Erasmus+ programme.

 West Ukrainian National University hosted the signing of an agreement between WUNU, represented by the rector Oksana Desyatnyuk, and the city of Ronneby (Kingdom of Sweden), represented by Mikael Mortenson, chair of the committee for technology, recreation and culture. The city of Ronneby has been a partner city of Ternopil for many years, carrying out joint projects with Ternopil City Council.

 The joint project ‘The Europeanisation of Ukrainian Law: A Comparative Law Platform for Training Young Researchers’, which received funding from the DAAD under the Leonhard Euler Programm, represents a significant achievement resulting from the long-standing academic partnership between WUNU and the Osnabrück University.

 Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research at WUNU; Yuliia Palaniuk, Head of the International Relations Office at WUNU; Olga Tsaryk, Director of the International Centre for Culture and Development and Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and ICT at WUNU; staff members of the International Centre for Culture and Development Khrystyna Kazmirchuk, Maksym Husak and Viktor Slabodukh, as well as Kseniia Boichuk, a third-year student enrolled in the ‘Business Communication and Translation’ programme, met with Tangi Kaba, a representative of the innovative international project ‘KABA Art Initiatives’ and the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).
