  Statement regarding the current war in Ukraine

This is to inform all BUP colleagues about the current situation for the Baltic University Programme (BUP) as an organisation in light of the war in Ukraine. The BUP strongly condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine and offers our wholeheartedly support to those colleagues and students most affected by the war.

 Dear Professors;

Greetings from KTO Karatay University, Konya, Turkiye. 

First of all please accept our support for Ukraine and for your inncocent people during the ongoing war.

 Every day of the war is a feat accomplished by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our parents, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, our children protect the country from the enemy. We wholeheartedly thank them for every new day of our lives.

 The Armed Forces of Ukraine defend our cities and villages, our families, our country day and night. They defend every piece of our land at the cost of their own lives. The least we can do is make sure that all the most modern means of combating the enemy are in the arsenal of our fighters. The staff of West Ukrainian National University purchased a military quadcopter for the needs of the defenders at their own expense.

Let only the Ukrainian flag fly in the airspace, and the sky will be peaceful. We believe that victory will be ours! Glory to Ukraine!

 Today, Ukraine is being helped by everyone abroad. Svitlana Kominko is leading the United Diaspora Front of the Province of British Columbia.

 We are very grateful to all foreign colleagues who, in difficult times for Ukraine, express their support and desire to accelerate our victory. We appreciate your efforts in the information space, which are aimed at spreading the truth about the events in Ukraine.

 Our courageous and heroic defenders protect our homes, our families, our land. Strength of spirit, bravery, love for Ukraine - that's what makes them invincible. To support the fighting spirit of our soldiers, Pavlo Tiutiunnyk of West Ukrainian National University composed the song "Victory for Us".

 At West Ukrainian National University, employees of departments, professors of faculties and institutes of the classical university
of Ternopil joined forces with students, their parents and relatives to do volunteer work - make dumplings for evacuated families, our defenders and for all who need help.

 The staff of West Ukrainian National University appeals to all international organizations that condemn the actions of the aggressor country of Russia and want to help Ukraine.
