WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 West Ukrainian National University hosted the first international energy forum ‘Clean Energy: Global Security and Innovation’. The main topics of the forum covered challenges and prospects in the field of energy security, ranging from renewable energy and the development of renewable energy sources and the modernisation of power grids to digitalisation, climate neutrality, decarbonisation and innovative energy efficiency.

 The educational and cultural course ‘South Korea in the World of Cultural Diplomacy: History, Language, Traditions, Cuisine,’ organised by the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (coordinator — Olha Lebedovych, student majoring in International Relations) has recently come to an end. The course brought together over 40 participants from different parts of Ukraine who are interested in learning about Korean culture, language, and diplomatic practices.

 Representatives of the National Contact Point for the Horizon Europe Programme (WIDERA) held a two-day information day at West Ukrainian National University in cooperation with the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine.

 On 6 June 2025, a practical workshop entitled ‘Demonstration of STEM equipment capabilities: futuristic education – today!’ was held for faculty members of West Ukrainian National University. The event was hosted by the STEM Lab in Building No. 1 (Room 1203).

 Within the framework of expanding scientific and educational cooperation between Lubelska Akademia WSEI and West Ukrainian National University, as well as Lublin University of Technology and West Ukrainian National University, Dr. Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi, Professor of Economics and Economic Theory at WUNU, paid a working visit to Lublin.

 Great news for students of West Ukrainian National University!

Applications are now open for the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme with the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STU). This is a unique opportunity to study or intern during the winter and summer semesters of the 2025/2026 academic year.

 The School of Polish and European Law invites students and teachers of the West Ukrainian National University to attend an online lecture on 6-7 June entitled ‘Fundamentals of Civil Procedural Law in Poland. Practical training in drafting civil procedural documents’.

 The Centre for Political Studies of the West Ukrainian National University hosted an award ceremony for students, postgraduates and lecturers of the Serhiy Konoval Department of Political Science and Philosophy of the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations. All of them successfully completed the training course ‘Public Diplomacy Studies 6.0’, which earned the participants 1.0 ECTS credits.

 At the West Ukrainian National University, as part of the courses ‘Comparative Civil Procedure’ and ‘Private International Law,’ third-year students majoring in International Law organised a mock trial based on a civil case involving the determination of the place of residence of a minor who had been transported from the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine.
