WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 On 4-5 December, an international scientific and practical conference ''Innovation in Education in Ukraine and Central Europe: Status, Problems and Prospects'' was held, organised by the Department of Education and Pedagogy of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of WUNU.

 Ukrainian volunteers deserve special respect and gratitude, as their contribution is invaluable in these difficult times. They help the Ukrainian Armed Forces, support internally displaced persons, organise humanitarian aid and perform many other important tasks.

 The cooperation of WUNU scientists with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine continues. Recently, another event - ‘GoGreen Ternopil: A Creative Journey’ - was held to promote innovation and creativity in community development by exploring the potential of green transformation hubs as vibrant, inclusive and sustainable centres. The event aimed to leverage the achievements of existing initiatives and stimulate new ideas for community-driven green transformations.

 The first stage of the Biathlon World Cup continues in Kontiolahti, Finland.

 Associate Professors of the Department of International Economic Relations Larysa Verhun and Oksana Myhal completed an internship at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences (Alkmaar, the Kingdom of the Netherlands) under the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme.

 Recently, the prestigious Haparanda Cup Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held in Sweden.

 Academics of West Ukrainian National University: Doctor of Economics, Professor Olena Sydorovych, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Iryna Humovska, PhD in Law, Associate Professor Oksana Shevchuk and PhD candidate Liudmyla Herun completed an international internship at the University of Lodz, Poland, from 18 November to 22 November 2024.

 The Department of International Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Bohdan Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU invites the academic community to join an open guest lecture by the Rector of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Medical University (Warsaw, Poland), Professor Dr hab. Krzysztow Jerzy Filipiak on the topic ‘Coffee - friend or foe? Moden Medicine and coffee - what should we know about?’

 West Ukrainian National University announces a call for applications for professors to participate in the one-week academic mobility program Erasmus+ KA171 at Marmara University (Istanbul, Turkey) during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

 On 28 November, an online meeting with representatives of the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom) was held at West Ukrainian National University. This event became the next step towards strengthening international cooperation and exchange of experience between educational institutions.
