WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 In the framework of our international partnerships, West Ukrainian National University organizes open lectures of famous foreign professors for our students. We bring to your attention a lecture by the rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, Professor Jan van Zwieten:

 West Ukrainian National University cares not only about students' day-to-day lives, but also about the success of graduates in the future. "The Global Skills Gap in the 21st Century" report by the Institute of Student Employers states that the skills most underdeveloped by higher education institutions are problem-solving, resilience, communication, data analysis and leadership skills.

 You can participate in the International Forum on Sustainable Development SF 2021 – «Sustainability Facets: Sustainable Cities», held on 22-23 of September. The goal is to raise global and national awareness of the challenges of sustainable development and the crucial role of strong partnerships and cooperation as key factors in successfully achieving all sustainable development goals (SDGs), existing European and global initiatives and practices, bringing issues and prospects of Ukrainian cities to the attention of global, European and national stakeholders, bringing together a variety of experiences from around the world to work together for change and quality in all areas of urban life.

 West Ukrainian National University - Classical University of Ternopil - was the first Ukrainian higher education institution to join the global initiative on climate change "Race to Zero" (https://www.sdgaccord.org/race-to-zero-for-universities-and-colleges-sign). Within the framework of this initiative, the university plans to develop a set of measures for decarbonisation, implementation of national and international programs for adaptation to climate change until 2050.

 A series of opening ceremonies in Ternopil, Kremenets and Berezhany commemorated the start of the autumn semester of the project "Norway-Ukraine. Professional adaptation. Integration into the state system” (NUPASS) from 17 to 19 September 2021.

 From September 15-17, West Ukrainian National University, Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany), and University of Southern Bohemia (Czechia) co-organized the 11th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies ACIT'2021.

Recruitment of students for the 2021-2022 academic year to the School of Polish and European Law is announced.

 The rector of West Ukrainian National University Andriy Krysovatyy, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research (International Relations) Oksana Desyatnyuk met with Svitlana Kominko - the Coordinator of International Business School Programs of the British Columbia Institute of Technology and the President of the Open World Learning Society (O.W.L).

 Students of economic specialties who study in programs focused on international economic activity can participate in the competitive selection for semester studies (second semester of 2021-22 academic year) at the InHolland University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands).

 Take part in the competition for the Stanislaw Lem European Research Prize (Lem Prize), founded by the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Young researchers under 40 affiliated with higher education institutions, research institutions in an EU country, a country participating in the Horizon project, or in Switzerland, are eligible.
