TNEU is among leaders again

 Webometrics Ranking Web of Universities (Edition 2019.2.0) was published in July. According to the rating, Ternopil National Economic University has risen two places and is ranked 4th among 320 Ukrainian higher education institutions (https://www.webometrics.info/en/Europe/Ukraine%20)!

We sincerely congratulate the TNEU scientific community with such a significant achievement. This proves that the joint efforts aimed at forming the image of TNEU as a progressive educational and scientific center in the national and international arena show an excellent result!

Webometrics University Ranking is compiled by one of the largest scientific institutions in Europe - the National Research Council of Spain and evaluates about 30 thousand higher education institutions from around the world. The rating has existed since 2004 and is considered one of the most respected web rankings of the world's educational institutions. The rating methodology is based on the analysis of the university's representation in the global information space and indirectly allows to evaluate the educational and research achievements.

Gender aspects of digital readiness and development of human capital in region

 Over the period from June 18th to June 21st  , 2019, the delegation of the Ternopil National Economic University, consisting of Associate Professor I. Gumovska, Associate Professor O. Kvasovskyi , Director of  ITSRC I. Romanets , Associate Professor E.Yashchenko,  visited the Rezekne Academy of Technologies (Latvia) within Latvia-Ukraine Cooperation Program Project “Gender aspects of digital readiness and development of human capital in region”, Project Nr.LV-UA/2018/3.

 On May 31, in the hall of the TNEU Academic Council, the hymns of Norway and Ukraine played to signify that reserve troops, ATO participants and their families have graduated from the training course within the framework of the Ukraine-Norway project. Thanks to the International Fund for Social Adaptation, the students have undergone professional retraining and social adaptation as part of this project. The participants of the course have not only worked together, but also gained valuable experience and knowledge about launching and managing a small business in Ukraine, mastered the accounting and audit, the basics of management and marketing. And most importantly, they have overcome the psychological barrier and found like-minded people, further proving that Partnership of Ukraine and Norway is effective and reliable.



V International Training Programme SPRING BUKOVEL ACADEMIC SCHOOL BASS-2019

 On May 24-27, the V International Training Programme SPRING BUKOVEL ACADEMIC SCHOOL BASS-2019 "Ukrainian Educational Dimension in the Context of Integrating the National Higher Education to the Global Academic Space" was held.

70 students from higher education institutions from Ukraine, Moldova, the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Canada, Italy, the USA, and Japan participated. Each participant was able to present the results of his own research, discuss it with other participants and gain experience from representatives of partner countries.



Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine visited TNEU

 Today the university community of the Ternopil National Economic University welcomed distinguished guests - the representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. Led EU Ambassador to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli, specialist of the Political Section, Pete Blonde, Advisers, Head of the Trade and Economic Section Jana Herceg, and specialist of Press & Information Section Iryna Stadniychuk arrived at TNEU.




1st International Week

Ternopil National Economic University is pleased to announce its 1st International Week which will be held from 9th to the 15th of September, 2019.

If You wish to spend a week in unforgettable international surroundings, with the opportunity to both hold lectures and start new friendly relations and establish cooperation, join our 1st International Week at the Ternopil National Economic University.

The particular aim of the programme is to provide the opportunity to listen to the courses delivered by visiting lecturers from our partner institutions, at the same time strengthening already existing, as well as preparing and designing new collaborations in the teaching, research and project activities between the partners and institutions.

This International Week is directed at the teaching and administrative staff dealing with the international cooperation, exchange programmes and international students. The International Week also gives participants the opportunity to broaden and strengthen cooperation between partner institutions in both educational and/or research projects.

TNEU was visited by the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands

 At the invitation of Director of B. Havrylyshyn ERIIER Iryna Ivashchuk, TNEU was visited by the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Lviv, Andrii Hrynchuk. The guest had the opportunity to tour the university and meet with the Head of International Office, Uliana Koruts. Mr. Hrynchuk enjoyed his time in Ternopil and he promised to visit our university again soon.



Lecture by the Nord University Professor

 Today there was a special guest at TNEU - a scientist from the Nord University - Bord Michalsen. He gave a lecture on Project Management within the framework of the project "Ukraine-Norway". The scientist described the main principles of directing a team and managing resources, communications, risks, quality, as well as the methods of evaluation, planning, monitoring and control. Teaching staff and students had an opportunity to share their thoughts and gain new experience. The lecturer was well liked - interesting, charismatic, and professional.



TNEU Students participated in the "High North Dialogue - 2019" conference

 During April 3-4th, TNEU students studying at the University of Nord Business School (Bodø, Norway) under the Erasmus + Global Mobility programme had a unique opportunity to take part in the High North Dialogue 2019, a world-renowned conference organized by the Nord University and Nordland country council.

The event brought together people interested in Arctic development. This conference was devoted to the development of Smart Cities, Blue Economy, Transport and Infrastructure, Business Index North (BIN), etc. Political and public figures, scholars and students from all over the world (USA, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Italy, France, Ukraine, Russia, China, etc.) took part in the conference. The conference is held annually since 2006. The opening speech of the conference was given by Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Norway and co-chair of the High-level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy.

Representatives from 7 countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Canada, the United States of America and the European Union) have also participated in the discussion panel on sustainable development in the Far North. The program of the conference was full of interesting sections, during which students themselves had the opportunity to present their research and thus become part of such a grand event.
