TNEU students are the smartest!

The results of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads in the academic disciplines and specialties in the 2018/2019 academic year have been summarized. The Olympiads were organized on the basis of 80 higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and 18 other ministries and agencies.


We are proud of the TNEU students, as they have received the highest number of winner diplomas among institutions of higher education of economic profile. TNEU youth demonstrated a high level of erudition, perseverance, ability to solve different tasks and to work comprehensively on problems.


We sincerely congratulate the winning students and their mentors, we wish you inspiration, new findings, interesting research, achievements and victories! It is you who shape the positive image of our university among the educational and scientific community of Ukraine!



Lecture on "Pseudo-random number generators based on the irrationality of some numbers"

 In order to further internationalise the teaching at the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies, on November 20, 2019, Prof. Marek Wójtowicz (Institute of Mathematics, Casimir the Great University, Bydgoszcz, Poland) gave a lecture on "Pseudo-random number generators based on the irrationality of some numbers", as part of his working visit to Ternopil National Economic University from November 18 to 21, 2019.

Before the lecture, Prof. Wojtowicz met with leading experts of the Departments of Cybersecurity and Computer Sciences on Cryptographic Protection of Information - Associate Professors Ivasiev, Yakymenko, Kasianchuk, Shevchuk. The parties discussed issues of scientific cooperation, internships, student exchange between higher education institutions, and shared their scientific findings on mathematical and software cryptographic systems.



Jean Monnet Programme started at TNEU

 On November 18-19, the Jean Monnet Program Winners Coordinators Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium, with representatives from 76 countries. In 2019, 22 out of 285 project applications that received funding will be implemented in Ukrainian institutions. The meeting continued with a conference to mark the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Programme.

Ternopil National Economic University is also among the winners. In the 2019-2022 the Jean Monnet module 612067-EPP-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE "European Regional Policy: Balance of Local, National and Pan-European Interests" will be implemented at the Department of International Economics. The TNEU delegation at Erasmus + Jean Monnet Kick-off Meeting was represented by Assistant Professor of International Economics Ihor Lishchynskyi, who is the contact person for the implementation of this project.

TNEU students meet with a diplomat of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine

 The meeting of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine's Second Secretary on Culture Hoshino Yuichi with students took place today at TNEU.


Japan is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world, whose economy ranks third in the world. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the culture and customs of the country, its peculiarities and relations with Ukraine, as well as about the possibilities of internship in Japan. During the lecture, the diplomat shared many interesting facts about life in Japan and the contrasting differences as well as similarities between our peoples.


The possibilities of cooperation of the university with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine and educational institutions of Japan were also discussed during the working meeting.



A lecture by a representative of Nord University

 We invite everyone to an open lecture by Bård Borch Michalsen, a representative of Nord University (Bodø, Norway). The meeting will be held on November 15, 2019 at 14:25 in room 11101.

The topic of the lecture is "Communicate professionally".

TNEU's achievements were recognised by the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine

 Ternopil National Economic University wishes to express its gratitude to the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (NEO in Ukraine) for the record of achievement presented to the University. It tenstifies to the success of the Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education and the significant achievements in Erasmus + projects. From November 4 to November 8, 2019, representatives of the teaching staff, TNEU administration and students participated actively in the Erasmus + International Week events organized by the National Erasmus + Office. TNEU held a working meeting to discuss the results of project implementation and strategic planning of further cooperation with partners and participants .



Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine visited TNEU

 A business forum "Lithuania-Ukraine: European Union experience for Ternopil region" was held yesterday in Ternopil, in the conference hall of HRC Avalon. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis took part in the event. The possibilities of development and enhancement of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cooperation were discussed during the meeting.


During his visit to Ternopil, Mr. Ambassador visited Ternopil National Economic University, where he met with the university administration  and spoke with the students during an open lecture. The possibility of implementing programs of international educational exchanges, internships, joint projects were discussed.



Rector of TNEU received a thank you letter from foreign partners

 The Rector of Ternopil National Economic University received thanks from the team of experts working on the project "International Mobility - Opportunity and Problem. Proper preparation for studying at a foreign university"


“Organizational effort and commitment put into preparing the visit allowed us to realise the planned tasks in a pleasant atmosphere, in great conditions for work. I would like to express speacial thanks to Professor Olha Sobko, whose commitment was particularly valuable to us," remarked the project manager, dr hab. ing, prof. Dorota Kwiatkowska-Ciotucha on behalf of the project team.


Project No. 2018-1-PL01-KA203-050756 has been founded with the support from the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme.





TNEU was visited by OSCE representatives

 Ternopil National Economic University hosted a meeting with representatives of the OSCE - Giorgio Zeljkovich, David Wolfe and Maryna Krasnopolska.

As a result, a preliminary agreement was reached to organize information events for students and staff of TNEU regarding the goals and main principles of the Mission's work in Ukraine.



International Augmented Reality Summer School started work at TNEU

 On Monday, September 30, the International Augmented Reality Summer School opened its doors. It is sponsored by German Academic Exchange Service DAAD; HTW Berlin (University of Applied Sciences); and MagneticOne Group.


The school's working language is English.


The school participants were divided into teams and selected the following topics:

1. An augmented Ukrainian recipe book
2. Urban Art: Augment street art or graphic novels
3. Visualizing virus attacks using Augmented Reality
4. Augmented Reality Memory Game
5. Augmented Reality Treasure Hunt


The first results were presented on Tuesday. On Wednesday, October 2, international teams presented the interim results of their work to the president of MagneticOne Group, Ruslan Savchyshyn.


The school will be open until the end of the week. The teams will present the results of their work in the Assembly Hall of the Academic Council on Friday at 13:30, the awarding ceremony for the winners will take place at 15:30. The event may be attended by anyone interested.
