WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 Within the framework of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from September 1, 2018 until December 31, 2018 Ternopil National Economic University will host Christopher Colell, a representative of the Dresden Technical University.

Students of the Ukrainian-German faculty-programme of Havrylyshyn ERIIER will have the opportunity to attend German language classes in order to improve their communicative competence. The first session will be held on September 5, 2018 at 16.00 in the hall of electronic resources (1209).

Christopher Colell will hold classes on economic topics for students and teachers of TNEU.

 According to the results of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads and the All-Ukrainian Competitions of Student Scientific Works in the 2017-2018 academic year, Ternopil National Economic University became the best among the higher education institutions of the economic profile.

We sincerely congratulate 23 students of TNEU, who became winners of the 2nd stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad, as well as 50 students - winners of the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian Competitions of Student Scientific Works!

We express our gratitude to the professors and scientific supervisors for the quality training of successful students of the Ternopil National Economic University!

 On the 1st of September, per tradition, the TNEU Maidan of Knowledge was buzzing with noise. A large university community has gathered in order to officially commence a new school year. Different colored flags of faculties and institutes blazed in the sky, sincere smiles and friendly laughter filled the air - it was clear that TNEU was full of life, as after warm summer holidays the best young people of Ukraine returned to the institution!

 We sincerely congratulate the students of the Ternopil National Economic University (group FKS-11) Alla Beheb and Mykhailo Svidrak, who won the Ukrainian Cup of Sambo wrestling, held in Zhytomyr on August 28-29th.

Letter from the Department of Scientific and Technological Development

 August 27, 2018 Ternopil National Economic University held a seminar on "Social modernization of the region: the latest approaches to management and training of management personnel".

Scientists and practitioners gathered in the Academic Board conference room of TNEU to discuss the issues and proposals related to the need for implementation of the Government's reform program on decentralization and social modernization of the regions in the context of developing new approaches to the formation of human resources of the social sector in order to ensure the effective development of the territorial communities.

Dear colleagues! On Thursday, August 30, 2018, a meeting of the Academic Board of the University will be held at 11:00 in the conference room of the Academic Board of the Ternopil National Economic University (TNEU Building #11, 11a Lvivska St.).

Getty Scholar Grants

 Deadline – October 1, 2018

Getty Scholar Grants are for established scholars, or writers who have attained distinction in their fields. Recipients are in residence at the Getty Research Institute or Getty Villa, where they pursue their own projects free from academic obligations, make use of Getty collections, join their colleagues in a weekly meeting devoted to an annual research theme, and participate in the intellectual life of the Getty.

Eligibility
Applications are welcome from researchers of all nationalities who are working in the arts, humanities, or social sciences.

Applicants who received their degree less than five years ago should apply for a postdoctoral fellowship.

Current Getty staff and members of their immediate family are not eligible for Scholar Grants. Recent recipients who have received a Getty Scholar award within the past three years may be removed from consideration.

Terms
Getty Scholars may be in residence from three to nine months: 

• Three-month residency: September to December, January to March, April to June: $17,200
• Six-month residency: September to March, January to June: $42,000
• Nine-month residency: September to June: $65,000
