A new centre for international cooperation was opened at TNEU
The year of the French language in Ukraine was officially launched on September 18 at the Ternopil National Economic University. The B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Economic Relations was the initiator of the events, while the Faculty of Finance was the co-organizer. During the celebration, the Center called "Integration Hub of African and Asian countries" was officially opened. The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Yurii Pyvovarov, Rector of TNEU, Professor Andriy Krysovatyy and Director of the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Economic Relations, professor Iryna Ivashchuk.

Recently, the international uniRank rating has been updated, ranking universities since 2005 on the basis of webometric data from 5 different sources of web analytics. The global rating of universities is based on the assessment of the popularity of their websites in terms of traffic, trust and quality of link activity.

Global Goals for Sustainable Development
In September 2015, during the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, a UN Summit was held to adopt the Development Agenda for the post-2015 period. The global community consider this summit an event of historical significance. The Summit covered issues of socio-economic development, competitiveness of countries, environmental and energy security, global partnership for development. The volume of thorough preparatory work involved wa unprecedented.
International Day of University Sport at TNEU
On September 20, Ternopil National Economic University will celebrate International Day of University Sport. The staff and student community will start the day at 7.30 am. for the "University Workout". The participants will gather on the synthetic football fields.
The celebration will continue on the waterfront of the Ternopil pond near the beach "Tsyhanka", where at 14.00 the "University Sea Mile" competition in Dragon Boat Racing will be held for the chance to win the TNEU Cup. The teams of TNEU faculties and institutes will compete with each other.

Lecture by the Professor of Gdansk University
On September 11, 2018, in the hall of the Academic Board (second floor, TNEU Building #11), an open lecture on "Foreign Economic Policy in Poland" will be held at 11.00. It will be conducted by Bohdan Jelinsky, a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk (Republic of Poland).
The lecture will be conducted in English.

Preparation for the Cambridge FCE Exams
Education and Research Centre for the Study of Foreign Languages of TNEU invites students and staff of higher education institutions in the city of Ternopil, as well as everyone else willing to prepare for the Cambridge Exams: FCE (First Certificate in English) to certify Level B2, and PET (Preliminary English Test) to certify level B1.
If students successfully pass the examinations, they will receive the applicable international certificates that do not have expiration dates. TNEU students will have the opportunity to study German together with a representative of the Dresden Technical University
On September 5, 2018, the representative of the Dresden Technical University, Christopher Сolell, had a work meeting with the Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activity (International Affairs and Innovative Development) prof. O. M. Desnyyuk, Head of the Office of International Relations U. Z. Koruts, Head of the Ukrainian-German Faculty-Programme O. M. Tsaryk. The participants discussed the main aspects of cooperation between Ternopil National Economic University and Dresden Technical University.
One of the proposals was to organize and conduct a cycle of German language classes with students of TNEU. Christopher Colell tested students to determine the level of language proficiency, according to which students were divided into 2 groups. Next classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 16.00 in the room 3106.
