WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 As part of the international conference ‘Ukraine in the Context of Legal System Reform’, Dr Monika Strus-Wolos — a Doctor of Law from the University of Warsaw and a partner at a renowned law firm in Warsaw — visited West Ukrainian National University. Her participation in the events made a significant contribution to the development of international academic dialogue and the support of Ukrainian legal education. During her presentation, Dr Strus-Wolos shared European experience of legal system reform, focusing on the practical aspects of the legal profession, the protection of human rights and the improvement of civil proceedings.

 WUNU hosted a regional event entitled ‘Education and the Labour Market: A Strategy for Social Partnership’. The event was organised by the National Qualifications Agency in partnership with West Ukrainian National University. The event brought together representatives of government bodies, the education community, employer associations, education quality institutions, employment centres and businesses to discuss what modern education should look like in order to meet the challenges of the times, the needs of the economy and the expectations of society.

 The competition in the 79 kg weight category has concluded at the European Weightlifting Championships.

 A new educational project is starting at West Ukrainian National University — a series of training sessions entitled ‘Fundamentals of European Integration’, initiated by the staff of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration. The programme is being run by the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations and will take place from 10 April to 30 June 2026.

 A call for applications is now open for students of West Ukrainian National University to study for one semester during the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year at Poznań University of Economics and Business (Republic of Poland) as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

 International Centre for Culture and Development of WUNU announces an open call for students who want to take part in the EYFON Peace Days 2026 international youth forum, which will take place from 14 to 19 June 2026 in Neumarkt (Austria) at Europaburg Neumarkt.

 A call for applications is now open to first- to third-year students wishing to take part in a study placement during the autumn semester of the 2026/2027 academic year at the Pädagogische Hochschule Kärnten (Klagenfurt, Austria) as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

 The second day of STEM Week at WUNU – T – TECHNOLOGY DAY: ‘Technologies of the Future’ – proved to be an exceptionally dynamic, informative and inspiring event. It was held at the STEM R&D Lab as part of the All-Ukrainian ‘STEM Spring 2026’ festival.

 Students from the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU, together with students from BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada), have successfully completed the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project, which aims to foster international academic cooperation and integrate Ukrainian students into the global educational community. It was an exciting journey – from the initial introductions within the international teams to the final presentations of their own research.

 Students from the Faculty of Law at West Ukrainian National University secured a convincing victory at the 6th All-Ukrainian Yuriy Paneiko Administrative Justice Debate.
