WUNU received a generator as part of the ‘Heat for Ukraine’ initiative
West Ukrainian National University has received vital technical assistance to ensure the institution’s stable operation in the face of energy challenges. With the support of Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha and the co-founder of the Association of Ukrainian Diplomats’ Spouses, Tetiana Sybiha, the university has been provided with a STAGER 1158000053S3 generator, 53kVA, 69A, 1500rpm, Trifazat, purchased with funds raised by Romanian citizens as part of the ‘Heat for Ukraine’ initiative.

From 23 to 27 March 2026, Roman Zvarych (Head of the Department of International Economic Relations at the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU, Doctor of Economics, Professor) and Larisa Verhun (Associate Professor at the same department), represented our university at the prestigious international event. Today, West Ukrainian National University held an Open House. Despite air raid alerts, hundreds of young men and women from all over Ukraine visited WUNU, accompanied by their parents and loved ones. Everyone wanted to see for themselves where they would study and spend the best years of their student lives.

The event served as an important component of the students’ practical training and provided a platform for them to gain first-hand knowledge of the inner workings of a diplomatic mission.
