Winter School at TU Dortmund (Germany)
At the invitation of Professor Dr. Thomas Schröder, within the framework of the work of the International Centre for Culture and Development of WUNU, from 5 to 9 January 2026, students majoring in B11 ‘Philology’ Adelia Kukharchuk, Khrystyna Kazmirchuk, Andrii Stravskyi, Sviatoslav Bilinskyi, and Viktor Slabodukh, together with Olga Tsaryk, professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and ICT, took part in the Winter School at TU Dortmund on the topic ‘Deutsch-Ukrainische Perspektiven auf Demokratiebildung, Nachhaltigkeit und Digitalisierung’ (German-Ukrainian Perspectives on Democracy Education, Sustainability, and Digitalisation).
The first International Scientific Discussion Platform ‘Accounting, Taxation and Control: Theory and Methodology’, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the West Ukrainian National Universityy
On 8 January 2026, the Department of Audit of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the West Ukrainian National University held the First International Scientific Discussion Platform ‘Accounting, Taxation and Control: Theory and Methodology’, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of West Ukrainian National Universityy. Within the framework of the platform, professional discussions were held on current issues of accounting, taxation and control. The event contributed to the strengthening of international scientific cooperation, the development of scientific research activities and the exchange of experience between representatives of the academic community and practitioners in the relevant field.

Finance of the future: internship for teachers and students of the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance
From October to December 2025, lecturers from the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance and Master's students enrolled in the Financial Literacy educational and professional programme had the opportunity to participate in an internship entitled ‘Digitalisation of Financial Monitoring: Modern Technologies, Innovations, and Prospects for Transparent Development’. The educational event was implemented as part of the international EURIDICE project and the Digital Europe Programme (with financial support from the European Union, Grant Agreement No. 101123121).
Carolling at WUNU
On the eve of the winter holidays, the creative youth of West Ukrainian National University, following a good tradition, once again brought to life the ancient history of the Christmas nativity scene. The students sincerely wove folk carols into the living canvas of modernity and conveyed to each spectator the unique atmosphere of Christmas, which has lived in Ukrainian culture for centuries.

"My name is Ivanna Svystun, and I am a fourth-year student at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations at WUNU. I am majoring in International Relations. Currently, I have a wonderful opportunity to study for a semester at the Poznan University of Economics and Business as part of an academic exchange programme under a bilateral agreement between our universities.
