WUNU student became a bronze medalist of the European U20 Basketball Championship
On July 7, the U20 European Basketball Championship in Division B started in Skopje (North Macedonia).
WUNU student won gold at the judo championship!
On July 8-9, the European Judo Cup among adults was held in Tallinn (Estonia). Mykhailo Svidrak, a student of West Ukrainian National University, won a gold medal in the under 81 kg weight category.
WUNU student became a champion at the European Wrestling Championships
The U20 European Wrestling Championships are underway in Spain. The second day of the competition was a triumph for Alina Filipovych, a student of West Ukrainian National University. The girl defeated all her opponents and became the champion in the under-57 kg weight category.
European Youth Athletics Championships
On July 11-17, the European Youth Athletics Championships will be held in Espoo, Finland. 31 athletes were able to fulfill the requirement and get into the European TOP-30.
WUNU student is a European karate champion!
The 2023 European Karate Championship for cadets, juniors and youths in the kumite and kata sections (Shinkyokushinkai) - was held in Debrecen, Hungary.
III European Games in Krakow
The III European Games will be held in Krakow from June 21 to July 2.
A student of West Ukrainian National University, Tetiana Kaisen, and three alumni of WUNU, Anna Plotitsyna, Viktoria Tkachuk and Tetiana Melnyk will participate in the competition as part of the national team.

On May 26-28, Bucharest, Romania, hosted an international freestyle wrestling tournament for athletes under 20.

From May 25 to 27, the Austrian city of Linz will host the world's best judokas as part of the Grand Prix tournament.

The European Olympic Committees (EOC) have announced the names of the five finalists for the Piotr Nurowski Award, which will honor the best young athlete in winter sports in Europe for the eighth time.
