Doctoral and post-graduate studies
The Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies is a structural unit of the West Ukrainian National University.
Main tasks
Training of higher education applicants for the degree of Doctor of Science through doctoral studies.
Preparation of higher education applicants for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy through postgraduate studies.
Training of applicants for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy outside the postgraduate program.
Organization, preparation and implementation of the educational and scientific program for the training of higher education students for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science in higher education institutions.
Compliance with the current legislation, the Procedure for the preparation of higher education students for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science in higher education institutions (research institutions), regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, orders of the rector and orders of the vice-rector for research.
Interaction with all structural units of the University.
Functions
Organizes and ensures the implementation of the Procedure for the preparation of higher education students for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science in higher education institutions (research institutions), other regulatory documents, provides the rector and vice-rector for research on legal issues.
Directly participates in the preparation of orders and other documents related to the work of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department.
Verifies compliance with the legislation of draft orders and other documents submitted to the Vice-Rector for Research and the Rector of the University for signature, and endorses them if these drafts are approved by the interested departments.
Forms consolidated perspective plans for the training of Doctors of Sciences and Doctors of Philosophy.
Submits to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reports on the work of postgraduate and doctoral studies.
Submits statistical reports.
Coordinates the work of the departments on the certification of doctoral students, postgraduate students and applicants.
