ЗАХІДНОУКРАЇНСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ УНІВЕРСИТЕТ

 Кафедра іноземних мов та інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій Західноукраїнського національного університету запрошує студентів до участі у Міжнародній науково-практичній студентській конференції «Сучасна парадигма іншомовної бізнес-комунікації: передові міжнародні практики та міжкультурна інтеграція», яка відбудеться 15 квітня 2022 року (м. Тернопіль).

Планується робота таких секцій:

електронна публікація: 90 грн.

друкована публікація: 150 грн.

За матерiалами конференцiї планується друкована публікація збiрника до початку конференції.

Вимоги до оформлення матеріалів:

1.​Файл з тезами повинен бути у форматі DOC (2003-2010).

2.​Текст обсягом 1-2 сторінки повинен бути набраний в WORD у форматі А4, гарнітура Times New Roman, розмір шрифту 14, міжрядковий інтервал 1.0, поля сторінок – 2 см., абзац – 1, 25 см, вирівнювання по ширині.

3.​1-й рядок: назва доповіді (вирівнювання по центру, шрифт жирний, великими літерами).

4.​ 2-й рядок: ім’я та прізвище автора (вирівнювання по центру, шрифт жирний ).

5.​3-й – ім’я та прізвище наукового керівника з фаху, його науковий ступінь, вчене звання;

6.​4-й - ім’я та прізвище викладача іноземної мови, його науковий ступінь, вчене звання

7.​5-й рядок: місце навчання – назва факультету та вищого навчального закладу повністю (курсив, вирівнювання по центру).

8.​ Через рядок друкуються тези доповіді, обсяг – від 1 повної до 2-х сторінок.

9.​9. Структура тез повинна містити такі елементи (вказані у тексті тез): Introduction-Objectives-Methods-Conclusion-References.

10.​Після тез подається список використаних джерел в алфавітному групуванні (References): спочатку за українським алфавітом чи мовами з кириличним алфавітом, а потім література іноземними мовами в порядку латинського алфавіту.

Вимоги до написання тез:

- висвітлення актуальності проблеми у вступі;

- формулювання цілей;

- виклад основного матеріалу дослідження;

- висновки і перспективи подальших досліджень з проблеми.

Introduction. Advances in information technology are combined with modern communication requirements to foster translation automation. The field of machine translation (MT) as a sub-field of computational linguistics that investigates the use of software to translate text or speech from one language to another has become important in different spheres of modern life. That is why, nowadays machine translation technology, as the modern communication resource, which is sufficient for many purposes, including making best use of the finite and expensive time of a human translator, is one of the most relevant topic.

Objectives. The main task is to consider the main approaches to machine translation technology and possibility of achieving fully automatic machine translation of high quality.

Methods. Nowadays, MT systems are complex software systems which use linguistic support of extensive lexicon, syntactic, semantic information and more. Due to the number of supported working languages, MT systems are bilingual and multilingual. The source language is called incoming and the translation language (formatted text) is native. In today's multilingual IP systems, supported languages can be both input and output [1, p.21].

The most common computer translation methods include the following ones.

• Direct or sequential computer translation (direct translation) - the words of the source text are translated separately and in the order in which they are present in the source text. The first computer translation systems used this method;

• Transfer method that implements linguistic algorithms, which are a sequential combination of three processes: analysis of the original sentence in terms of the input language; the actual transfer (from transfer), that is, the transformation of the resulting structure into a similar one for the source language; synthesis (generation) on the basis of the resulting sentence. This is how the source text is generated;

• Interlingua is a definite metalanguage, mediator language, in which all structures of both input and output languages can be described. The main problem in this case is precisely the development of metalanguage and its formal description in terms of the natural language. The Interlingua method is effective for translating complex expressions [2].

In addition, statistical machine translation tries to generate translations using statistical methods based on bilingual text corpora, such as the Canadian Hansard corpus, the English-French record of the Canadian parliament and EUROPARL, the record of the European Parliament.

•​Neural MT. A deep learning based approach to MT, neural machine translation has made rapid progress in recent years, and Google has announced its translation services are now using this technology in preference to its previous statistical methods. Microsoft team reached human parity on WMT-2017 in 2018 and this was a historical milestone [3].

There are several MP systems that have become most widespread in Ukraine: Stylus, Universal Translator, Socrat, Multitran, Promt, Lingvo, Translate Google and some other.

Conclusion. To sum up, Translate Google is the leader among MP system. Its free system based on "neural" MP is able to perform more or less high-quality translation from 103 languages and provides access to audio.
